Body and Acousmatic Music

- The following article is taken from the book " Musiques d'aujourd'hui":

"I have never used sound as the original and traditional support of dance, as a melody on which I would create a "pas de deux".
My own concept expression-sound-image is a kind of a rough and sensitive material that rises on its own, not giving way to dissolution.
This musical and visual process is linked to a total and homogeneous creation, as far the specificity of my dancing is concerned and is inspired by Buto.
- Subtle internal vibrations of the body and of its internal metamorphosis have to be on symbiosis with sound and visual material, matching the experience of the body. "B. Schenk

- My art is like an old woman's dream, she is on the limit of herself , she is this limit; her movements were as if on a silk yarn. She got so many people inside her, she carries so many wars and births ...
I play characters in various stages; I build them up with numerous faces ....
Since 1988, I created about 35 performances, a"wagnerian rock transmuting into a despaired being" ,a " married monkey, mutating into a man-eater" (Play it again Sam) , for solo unto 14 dancers (for example "Antigone").
I have been invited in festival - Kassel, Documenta x, new arts festivals in France, I often work with art galleries.

- Technique: Breathing is the ground of my technique, open mind and open body to be able to receive energy, to be a "receptacle" without Ego ..a kind of meditation in movement.
Breath in and breath out , very simply; Breath is the root of ourselves and we have to reach this root in low-abdomen.
We have to feel and be aware of every subtle internal movement, remaining in this new space of ourselves, movements just follow the breath. An then, ancestral memories can rise up.
There is no artificial form....
